Mohammed Al Faqeeh was born in 1989 in Jordan. In 2018, he graduated with a Furniture Design and Making diploma degree from the Universal College of Learning (UCOL) in Palmerston North, New Zealand.
Since completing his studies in 2018, Mohammed has been passionately designing and crafting bespoke furniture. He has showcased his creations in several group exhibitions in his former hometown, Whanganui, New Zealand.
During his university studies, Mohammed delved into the art of Marquetry, a skill that would become a cornerstone of his craft. He took his Marquetry skills to new heights, particularly by working with Islamic geometrical patterns. Through his unique approach, he transformed these patterns, creating intricate art pieces crafted from wood veneer.
In 2023, a collaborative journey began when Mohammed joined forces with Ida Clay. Leveraging Ida's background in media arts and Mohammed's expertise in Marquetry, they set out to create and produce veneering art using both natural and dyed wood veneer. This collaboration has brought forth a fusion of artistic skills, resulting in captivating and innovative works that merge storytelling with the intricate beauty of Marquetry.

Since 2023, she has collaborated with Mohammed Al Faqeeh, a skilled veneer artist. Together, they have been creating captivating works that seamlessly blend Ida's storytelling prowess with Mohammed's mastery in working with veneer. They live together with their two children in Berlin.
